"The Ancient Evil Survives" -The Lich, The Undead of Warcraft-
A great friend of mine got a book about Japanese mythology, and these characters represent the lost souls called 'Funna-Yurei' at sea, revived as demons which forever haunts other ships. They wield fishermen ladles as weapons, and would drag any careless travelers down to share a same watery fate... or something like that. I wanted to recreate these characters with my personal twist, partly because the original illustrations were... for a lack of word, too childish looking?
